I’m currently immersed in Writing and Applied Arts at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, with a concentration in copyediting and publishing. I serve as contributing writer and book travel editor for The Quill, our bimonthly digital magazine that celebrates voice and vision from across campus. I also work as editor, writer, and photographer for The Northern Lights, our annual print and online publication, where I help shape stories that blend image, insight, and emotion. Beyond the university, you’ll find my work featured at Mocking Owl Roost, an online literary magazine where I contribute reviews spanning film, media, books, television, and games — sharpening my critical lens and love of storytelling across genres.

Professor Tracy Fernandez Rysavy
"Karrie is a 'triple threat' when it comes to publishing: She's a terrific writer, a gifted photographer, and a careful editor, who also has a genuine ability to make her peers feel valued and supported. She works incredibly hard and never fails to use the editorial process to take her work from solid to outstanding. I give her my highest recommendation."
